
報告人簡介:Ranjith Pathegama Gamage 教授,澳大利亞莫納什大學教授、中國工程院外籍院士、澳大利亞技術科學與工程院院士、英國皇家工程院外籍院士、歐洲科學與藝術學院院士,榮獲2025年度中國政府友誼獎。主要從事巖石力學、地熱能開發(fā)、二氧化碳地質(zhì)封存等領域研究,出版國際專著2部,發(fā)表學術論文500余篇,Web of Science數(shù)據(jù)庫H指數(shù)73,總引用17000余次。
報告摘要:Hydrogen is rapidly emerging as a pivotal energy carrier in the transition toward a net-zero future. Depleted gas reservoirs can store hydrogen at scale, yet pose complex challenges related to geo-mechanical stability, geochemical reactivity, and microbial activity. We discuss hydrogen–rock–brine chemistry, cap-rock sealing and cyclic injection-withdrawal performance, present reactive transport and geo-chemical modelling and international pilots, and outline pathways to safely integrate underground hydrogen storage within the broader renewable energy framework, ensuring supply stability and enabling large-scale decarbonisation of industrial and transport sectors.
